Tier 1 Support/Software Tester - Contactor              2010 to 2011

· Provided Tier 1 support of AT&T IDIS Ethernet provisioning OSS system.

· First line for ticket handling and analysis coming from the users and providing initial solution or directing the AOTS tickets to Tier 2 support. Tracked and closed the AOTS trouble tickets with resolution.

· Supported escalations and was available to supply status on any open issues.

· Performed system test of  BPEL Canopi GUI software during provisioning of UNI, CNL and INL Ethernet services.

· Placed Ethernet IPAG orders for UNI, CNL/INL and for access services such as OPT-E-WAN, tracked and verified each step of the order provisioning process until order completion.

· Map the physical port connections (i.e. the hard-wired connections) for all inventoried equipment and record the data in the Granite Audit Tool

· Capture all other data regarding the inventoried equipment and its physical/logical connectivity required to populate the Granite Audit Tool

Managed Litespan 2000 and 2012 Telcordia’s Operations System Modifications for the Integration of Network Elements (OSMINE) development process for TIRKS (inventory, configuration, provisioning, circuit design, capacity management, planning, order tracking, jeopardy/escalation and order completion OS), SWITCH OS (next generation switch and access inventory OS), LFACS (legacy switch and access inventory OS), NMA (fault management and service assurance OS) and OPS/INE (service activation/configuration OS). Assisted Telcordia in the development of OSMINE Operation System Impact Analysis (OSIA) document. Participated in work sessions with Telcordia in developing the OSS support strategy for Litespan in TIRKS, LFACS and SWITCH. Successfully developed and provided workarounds to RBOC OSS support issues.

 

Provided methods and procedures support to NYNEX’s Litespan ONU-24/48/96 implementation team.

 

PINNACLE Consulting, Inc.

Consultant              1990 to 1994

Provided technical analysis of OSS support requirements for new network technologies (e.g., SONET, NGDLC, FTTx, etc.) and developed RBOC OSS mechanization plan to assist in Telcordia’s OSMINE process. Created appropriate administrative and technical data to support Telcordia’s OSS used to administer inventory and assignment. Represented vendor at OSMINE meetings with Telcordia and reviewed resulting work. Developed vendor documentation and provided support to vendor’s clients.

Responsible for release testing the inventory modules of TIRKS. Implemented and held classroom training on new TIRKS inventory products or enhancements, such as, SONET, ATM, digital loop carrier (DLC) inventory, and equipment hierarchy. Developed methods and procedures for interoffice inventory and carrier provisioning. Responsible for OSMINE activities related to interfacing with equipment vendors, Telcordia and BellSouth Services (BSS) Product Evaluators and Procurement organizations. Participated as the BSS representative at the national TIRKS Inventory Focus Group forums.

Manager - Headquarters              1987 to 1989

Performed process analysis, requirements definition, and system development for the Circuit Provisioning Center. Interfaced extensively with upstream and downstream work center subject matter experts to develop flows and systems requirements. Lead team to identify current processes. Analyzed data to identify process improvement initiatives for flow-through provisioning.  Developed business case for process initiatives. Identified new user level and system level requirements.  Managed implementation of new processes and software upgrades. Implemented PROCDS models and updates to TIRKS-PEDITE, E1 Catalog and TTS tables required to automate the circuit design process.  Provided classroom training on new software features. The above effort resulted in improved quality, improved productivity and the reduction of line forces by greater than 50%.

 

Southern Bell Telephone/BellSouth Services, Inc.

Manager - Headquarters              1983 to 1987

Provided technical analysis for the deployment of new signaling and transmission products utilized in the provisioning of circuits on metallic and carrier (metallic/fiber) facilities. These products were generally deployed at the central office, customer premise or on carrier facilities. Developed interdepartmental methods and procedures to implement new T1 and T3 service offerings. Worked closely with Operations to develop the necessary provisioning and testing data content.

 

One of three RBOC individuals selected by Telcordia to a five member national panel to develop a plan for splitting assets and circuits for Divestiture. Developed the software requirements and reviewed our plan with each RBOC Executive Officer. Prior to release, successfully tested the Divestiture beta software at two RBOCs. Exceeded the goal for mechanically splitting assets and circuits by 80%.

 

Developed and provided to Telcordia and the RBOCs TIRKS requirements for new software enhancements. Developed and provided guidelines for special services standard designs and multi-functional equipment deployed in the network. Developed and implemented a process for provisioning special service circuits on digital loop carrier, which was adopted nationally by all RBOCs. Provided support to all Southern Bell/BellSouth States on all phases of OSS TIRKS support, special services provisioning, center support, downstream Operations support, circuit design strategies, databases, new services support, service order content, customer network projects, special assemblies, diversity routing, planning, tariffs, billing, etc. Served as the Southern Bell/BellSouth representative at the national TIRKS CDS (Circuit Design System) Advisory Board. Developed methods and procedures for identifying and recording special service circuits covered under the national guidelines for disaster recovery.

 

Provided classroom training on new software features and provisioning processes.

Responsible for handling all Inter-exchange Carriers (IXC) ASRs in Georgia.  Responsible for meeting and tracking all DLRs by date due.  Managed all access provider relationships, escalations and expedites. Project managed/planned the installation of all cable and carrier facilities to each IXC’s POP. Provided the IXC with the assignable facility name required for CFA meet points. Addressed all IXC questions, issues and special projects for the state of Georgia as Engineering Point of Contact (EPOC) and Design Control Office (DCO).  Responsible for all access designs of inter-exchange and interstate circuits provisioned in Georgia.

 

Management Experience
